The national team of Turkmenistan plans to take part in the IX International festival of school sports of CIS member countries, which will be held from November 15 to 20 in Ufa with the assistance of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly.

As the website of the CIS Executive Committee reports, participation of more than 400 people as a part of the national teams from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are expected.

Within the framework of the event competitions in volleyball, mini football, 3x3 basketball, table tennis, chess, badminton will be held.

For festival participants will be organized a rich cultural and educational program: excursions, acquaintance with the culture and traditions of the peoples of Bashkortostan, master classes from famous athletes, film screenings and discos, the source notes.

The initiative of conduction of this festival was proposed by the All Russian Federation of school sports in 2012.

Let’s remind that in 2014 the school cultural and sports festival of the CIS countries was held in Avaza on the initiative of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Then 110 schoolchildren from the Commonwealth countries came to Avaza for a week. The festival was supervised by three-time Olympic figure skating champion Irina Rodnina.
