A meeting was held between the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the head of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the celebrations on the occasion of the Independence Day of the country.
As today’s edition of the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper reports, Rustam Minnikhanov conveyed to the Leader of Turkmenistan the words of warm greetings from the Russian President Vladimir Putin, stressing that he is delighted to have the opportunity to visit Ashgabat in these festive days.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov conveyed responsive warm greetings to the President of the Russian Federation and expressed gratitude to Rustam Minnikhanov for his constant attention to strengthening of friendly Turkmen-Tatarstan relations, which have now reached a qualitatively new level.
As R. Minnikhanov noted, business circles of Tatarstan show interest in extension of their presence at the perspective Turkmen market, where have been created a pleasant investment climate and all conditions for effective work.
Alongside with this, it was underlined that Turkmenistan and the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation are connected with longstanding fruitful contacts in the humanitarian sphere where a rich experience of interaction on the lines of science, education and culture has been accumulated and good traditions have developed, which are now being worthily continued.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed confidence that the high level of mutual understanding inherent in bilateral relations will continue to serve as a solid basis for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation across its entire spectrum.
