The results of research in the field of maternal and child health, and also reproductive medicine, were considered at a scientific and practical conference held today in Ashgabat.

The forum dedicated to the 31st anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan was held at the Educational and Scientific Center for Maternal and Child Health of the State Medical University named after Myrat Garryev.

As it is known, along with the provision of medical services, the priority direction of the work of the university clinic is scientific activity, primarily research in the field of management and adaptation of children with low birth weight. The conference participants shared their practical experience and positive results of research on early development and intervention conducted at the center.

The speakers dwelled in detail on the issues of miscarriage and complicated pregnancy, features of physical and neuropsychic development and early intervention. The issues of diagnosis and correction of congenital surgical pathology and the features of diagnosis and treatment of common diseases in children were also considered.

At the conference, reports were made on the results of scientific work in various areas of pediatrics, pediatric surgery, pediatric neurology, obstetrics and gynecology, and also on the achievements and prospects of healthcare in this area.

The conference was attended by the faculty of the university and the heads of departments of the clinic, and also young professionals - clinical residents, interns, students and researchers of the center.
