Hairdressers in the Italian city of Castenazo (Emilia-Romagna region) were banned from washing their clients’ hair twice. The mayor of the city, Carlo Gubellini, introduced such a restriction. The reason for the ban was the worst drought in the last 70 years. Violators face a fine of up to 500 euros, reports mir24.

In accordance with the officials, in order to wash your hair twice under running water, you need at least 20 liters. Given the number of city residents and the number of salons, water savings due to the new restriction could amount to several thousand liters per day.

Earlier, the highest level of weather danger was declared due to abnormal heat in Italy. And in some regions of the country it has not rained for more than a hundred days.
