The US Agency of the international development (USAID) in the coming 3 years will assist the Ashgabat Stock Exchange (AFB) in the emergence of private brokerage and investment companies in Turkmenistan, as well as the formation of a favorable market environment for investors and issuers, ORIENT reports.
Besides that, the AFB plans to embed electronic trade system and launch of new financial products such as corporate bonds, exchange traded funds, etc.
It also became known that the AFB intends to consolidate cooperation with the foreign exchanges and establish a full-fledged work of the exchange's training center.
It should be noted that in April-June 2022, the AFB jointly with USAID conducted courses on brokerage services and securities issuance.
25 private brokers became the first graduates of the new program, and 45 owners and managers of Turkmen companies received information about opportunities to raise funds by issuing corporate shares and bonds.
