The President of Turkmenistan has arrived on an official visit to Iran

Today, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived on a two-day official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

As per the IRNA news agency, the Turkmen leader was met by the Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran Rostam Ghasemi, as well as members of the government delegation of Turkmenistan, at Tehran's “Mehrabad” International Airport, decorated on this significant occasion with the National flags of the two friendly countries.

The head of the Turkmen state walked along the carpet, on both sides of which the soldiers of the Guard of Honor were lined up, to the Hall of Official delegations.

The high level and productivity of the multidimensional cooperation established recently, as well as the trustworthy nature of Turkmen-Iranian relations, contributing to even greater rapprochement and mutual understanding of friendly neighboring peoples, were noted with satisfaction during a brief conversation here over a cup of tea with the representatives of the host country.

From the air harbor, the motorcade of the President of Turkmenistan left in the direction of the residence assigned to him in the building Serwestian of the Palace complex Saadabad. Located at the footage of the mountains, at the picturesque place of one of the prestigious districts on the north of Teheran, this complex was and continues to be among the main attractions of the Iranian capital.

The official welcoming ceremony of the meeting of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyed Ebrahim Raisi will take place on June 15.

It is expected that during the talks on the highest level, the approaches of the parties to further building of a multifaceted cooperation, which has been successfully developed all last years as in two-sided as well as multilateral format - within the framework of major international organizations and reputable regional structures, will be specified.
