Today a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation, with an emphasis on the implementation of agreements previously reached at the highest state level, were discussed in Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan) by the Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and China Rashid Meredov and Wang Yi.
The talks were held within the framework of the participation of the delegation of Turkmenistan in the 3rd Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Central Asian States and the People's Republic of China.
According to the Press Service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry, during the conversation the parties also touched upon regional and international issues of mutual interest. The interlocutors confirmed their mutual desire to continue cooperation between Turkmenistan and China in major international organizations.
During the discussion of the bilateral trade and economic agenda, special attention was paid to mutually beneficial cooperation in the gas, transport and communication areas.
The leaders of the Turkmen and Chinese diplomacy paid special attention to ensuring security and stability on a regional and continental scale.
Further cooperation in the areas of healthcare, education and culture was also the topic of negotiations.
Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov is in the capital of Kazakhstan on June 7-8 by special Order of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to participate in the work of the next, Third Meeting of Foreign Ministers "Central Asia – China", as well as to hold bilateral meetings.
