The first aircraft of Turkmenistan Airlines landed in Kazan after the resumption of flights between the cities of Turkmenistan and Russia.
The Boeing 737-800 aircraft landed in the Kazan airport at 16:23 local time.
To recap, flights to Kazan will be operated from Ashgabat on Wednesdays at 14:55 (Ashgabat time). In the opposite direction from Kazan to Turkmenistan, the aircrafts will return to the Turkmenabat airport.
Turkmenistan Airlines launched regular passenger transportation on the Ashgabat–Kazan–Ashgabat route in 2016. The opening of the new route was an impetus for the development of business relations between Turkmenistan and Russia. In March 2020, due to the pandemic, regular flights between Turkmenistan and Russia were suspended.
