After the completion of the World’s Championship, a new worlds ranking of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) was determined.
The top five teams remained in the same order as after the Olympics. Finland, which won gold at the 2022 World Cup, is followed by Canada, Russia, the USA and Sweden.
In the International Hockey ranking the national team of Turkmenistan currently occupies the 48th place, gaining 725 points. In the upper line is Hong Kong (KPR), the line above is taken by Kyrgyzstan.
At present time, the rating includes a record number of 56 countries that participated in the in the IIHF World Ice Hockey Championship program in recent years.
The rating takes into account the results of the World Championships and Olympic Games over the past four years. The teams that were unable to participate this year received points in accordance with the sports regulations.
Let’s remind that at the World Championship in the third division of group “A”, which ended in April, the hockey players of the Turkmenistan national team won bronze medals. The tournament was held in Luxembourg.
