The most beautiful Akhal-Teke horse of 2022 was chosen in Turkmenistan. A horse named Melebash was chosen. The decision was made based on the results of the International Beauty Competition of Akhal-Teke horses, held in the Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan today.
According to the electronic newspaper "Turkmenistan", 10 representatives of the Akhal-Teke breed of horses from all regions of Turkmenistan selected at the preliminary stages of the review, took part in the Competition.
Each of them passed twice in front of the judges. The first time without equipment, and the second time - in a full set of horse ornaments, in a carpet blanket and under the saddle.
In accordance with the rules of the Competition, all horses were presented to the jury and the audience in order: name, age, pedigree data and owner.
The horse Melebash, born in 2015, belongs to the Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan. It is a descendant of the elite representatives of the Gyrsakyr breed.
The seyis who raised the winner of the International Competition, was awarded the main prize on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov - the keys to a Lexus car, as well as a Challenge Cup and a diploma.
International Beauty Competitions among Akhal-Teke horses are held on the eve of the National holiday of the Turkmen horse to be celebrated on the last Sunday of April. The initiator of this Competition is ex-President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The Akhal-Teke breed is one of the most ancient and beautiful breeds of riding horses in the world. Scientists believe that it was bred on the territory of the modern Turkmenistan about 5 thousand years ago and influenced many horse breeds known in the world.
