Customs Services of Turkmenistan and Russia signed a Joint Action Plan

A Joint Action Plan was recently signed between the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation.

According to the website of the Turkmen Customs Service, the document was signed through the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Russia.

The signed document establishes the parties’ algorithm of actions to develop cooperation in such areas as information exchange, personnel training, as well as in the area of customs offenses.

The expansion of international cooperation is one of the main directions in which the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan is developing, and special importance is attached to the development of cooperation in the area of customs with relevant establishments of foreign states and international organizations.

Today, the legal framework of the Turkmen Customs includes about 100 international agreements. In 2021, it was supplemented with three more international documents. In particular, bilateral agreements were concluded with the Russian Federation, the Republics of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, the source notes.
