1. The Turkmen mobile operator “Altyn Asyr” has introduced a free service “Oraza”, through which subscribers can receive information about the schedule of fasting using a free USSD menu. The calendar of “suhurs” and “iftars” is available at the link.
2. The Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan received high-quality equipment from Japan. The Ashgabat Emergency Medical Center received X-ray units, lung motors, modern ultrasound machines and systems for bronchoscopy.
3. The Football Federation of Turkmenistan will participate in the work of the 72nd FIFA Congress in Qatar and will present at the draw for the 2022 World Cup on April 1.
4. During a two-day regional seminar in Ashgabat the strategy on implementation of “Lazurit” transit – transport corridor was introduced. The strategy is designed to further strengthening of regional economic integration and transport potential, radically decrease geographical distances by applying reasonable execution of all modes of transport.
5. In accordance with the preliminary estimates the Trans-Caspian connector project requires an investment of 400 million USD and will take about four months. The infrastructure available in Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan in the Caspian Sea will be the foundation for the implementation of the project. The interconnector will allow Turkmenistan to arrange the supply of 10-12 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year.
6. The Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and Iran held talks on the sidelines of the 3rd meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the neighboring countries of Afghanistan.
7. The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the pavilion of Turkmenistan at the World Exhibition Expo Dubai 2020. During the visit of the pavilion, Rustam Minnikhanov appreciated the national costumes and the world-famous Turkmen carpets.
8. Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of Kazakhstan Serikkali Brekeshev announced on the increase of water volume in the Aral Sea by 11,5 cubic km. It has become possible due to the increase of throughput capacity of the Syrdarya from 350 to 700 cubic m per second.
9. In China, three satellites "Tianping-2A", "Tianping-2B" and "Tianping-2C" were successfully launched into Earth orbit from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. The satellites will be used to study the atmosphere and calculate the parameters of the orbit.
10. The group stage of the third qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup has ended in Asia. In accordance with its results, 4 participants of the final stage of the tournament became known – the Republic of Korea, Iran, Japan and Saudi Arabia. And 2 teams that will play the remaining ticket – Australia and the UAE.
