Russian “Rostov” football club on its official website informed about the appointment of Valeri Karpin as the head coach. The 53 years old specialist replaced Vitaly Kafanov at his post.
The period of the contract with Karpin is not specified. Valeri Karpin will combine work in the Russian national team and “Rostov”. At different times he led the Russian national team, “Spartak”, “Mallorca” and other teams.
Let us remind you, that Karpin coached the team from “Rostov-on-Don” from December 2017 to August 2021.
61 years old Vitaly Kafanov has been the head coach of the club since the end of October 2021. Vitaly Kafanov was born in Ashgabat. He is a student of Turkmen football. He will continue his work in the “Rostov” coaching staff as a goalkeeping coach.
“Rostov” takes 14th place in the Russian Football Championship with 18 points.
