China intends to be an investment partner of Turkmenistan in shipbuilding, as well as to help train relevant specialists. The management of China Machinery Engineering Corporation announced it during the online talks between the representatives of a number of Chinese companies with the Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Mammetkhan Chakyev on Friday.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for cooperation in the transport and transit area, the issues of intensifying trade traffic between China and Europe, as well as other countries through the Turkmen territory, according to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
Another topic of negotiations was the possibility of servicing the Turkmen railway fleet by the Chinese specialists, including the purchase of spare parts.
