Experts from the Australian University of Flinders have developed a wetsuit, that can protect a person in the event of a shark attack. The material for the equipment is made of polymer fibers with the addition of neoprene. Despite the fact, that protective pads were attached in places most vulnerable to bite, the suit retained its flexible properties. At the same time, the material showed its strength, surpassing steel and Kevlar by 8-15 times.

The latest development has been successfully tested by white sharks and, according to its creators, the suit reduces the bite depth of predatory fish. The Shark Stop manufacturer offers two versions of its wetsuit - for surfers and divers. In addition to their protective properties, wetsuits have all the necessary attributes, including a key pocket, a zipper and knee pads, announced mir24.
