China will provide assistance in the amount of $ 500 million to the countries of Central Asia free of charge. Chinese President Xi Jinping announced it, speaking at the Central Asia - China Online Summit, RIA Novosti reports.
As the Chinese leader explained, the funds will be provided within three years for projects to improve the well-being of people. He stressed that China supports the Central Asian countries in their desire to retain their independence.
In addition to financial assistance, China will provide educational quotas to five thousand specialists from the Central Asian countries for advanced training in the fields of healthcare and information technology.
The Chinese leader also proposed to his Central Asian colleagues to supply 50 million doses of coronavirus vaccine in 2022 and transfer the technology for these drugs production.
