Presidents of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan discussed cooperation projects

Today, Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Shavkat Mirziyoyev discussed successful implementation of cooperation projects between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan during a telephone conversation.

According to the Press Service of the Uzbek leader, the parties noted that joint projects contribute to the steady growth of mutual trade indicators, the expansion of active cooperation in industry, energy, agriculture and water management as well as transport.

Mirziyoyev and Berdimuhamedov discussed the issues of strengthening friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership between the two countries, stressed the importance of substantial expanding of the multi-faceted cooperation.

The Presidents also exchanged views on the regional agenda and aspects of cooperation within multilateral organizations, discussed the schedule of upcoming meetings and events.

Looking back, Mirziyoyev discussed the implementation of new joint cooperation projects with the Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Monday. During this visit, a number of investment and export agreements were signed in the areas of agriculture, electrical engineering, chemical industry and production of building materials.
