Uniform technical requirements for the creation and maintenance of all Turkmen websites have been developed by the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan. The document was published on the website of the Ministry of Justice.
The text describes possible ways to resolve controversial issues regarding the operation of Internet pages, as well as various aspects of the functioning of national web resources within the framework of the decree of the President of Turkmenistan on the need to create websites for all institutions and organizations of the country.
According to the document, the requirements primarily relate to:
- quality of site design;
- information disseminated through web resources;
- storage of personal information of users;
- conducting online payments;
- server usage;
- ensuring cybersecurity and more.
The new requirement prescribes regular updating of the news section of the sites and publishing only verified and reliable information. If the news is taken from other sources, you must provide a link to the source. Authorial materials must be placed with a signature to protect copyright.
The authors of the document paid attention to the safety of confidential information of users when registering on the resource. We are talking about email addresses - the site owner has no right to use it for personal purposes to send advertising letters, transfer to third parties, and so on.
A separate section of the document is devoted to the cybersecurity of national sites, namely technical requirements.
Uniform requirements have also been developed for electronic document management systems in Turkmen organizations, regardless of the form of ownership. The new regulation will help create a unified document management system that will become nationwide.
