President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyed Ebrahim Raisi congratulated President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the Turkmen people on the 26th anniversary of the proclamation of the neutrality of Turkmenistan.
In a message addressed to the head of the Turkmen state, published today in the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper, the Iranian leader noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran was among the first countries to support Turkmenistan's decision to adopt a policy of positive neutrality at various regional and international forums.
The head of the neighboring state stressed that “the Islamic Republic of Iran and Turkmenistan are constructively cooperating in various areas, including in the area of eliminating the negative impacts of the global coronavirus pandemic”.
“On the days of celebrating neutrality, we are together with the people of Turkmenistan,” Raisi said, expressing his conviction that, thanks to balanced decisions, Ashgabat and Tehran will continue to successfully build up their partnership.
