Today the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin arrived in Ashgabat on a working visit to participate in the 15th Summit of the Heads of the Economic Cooperation Organization member states, which will be held on November 28 under the chairmanship of Turkmenistan.
Officials of Turkmenistan met the guest at the Ashgabat International Airport. It also hosted a conversation between the President of Turkmenistan and the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, during which priority issues of further development of Turkmen-Kazakh relations in various areas of mutual interest were discussed, the “Vatan” news program of Turkmen television reported.
The Economic Cooperation Organization is a regional, interstate and economic organization established in 1985. ECO includes Iran, Pakistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
Since March 2021, Turkmenistan has been chairing the ECO.
