Abiverd antiquities found during excavations were transferred to the State Museum of Turkmenistan

The collection of archaeological exhibits of the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan was supplemented by finds made during the autumn excavations carried out on the territory of the Abiverd historical and cultural reserve in the Kaka etrap of the Akhal velayat.

In total, Turkmen archaeologists donated about 40 antiquities to the museum, which mainly include ceramic vessels and their fragments of the medieval era, according to the museum's website.

The transfer of values took place in a solemn atmosphere. After the official part, the participants of the event were guided through a traveling exhibition dedicated to the medieval history of the country. The exhibition presented photographs of monuments located on the territory of Turkmenistan, works of artists, as well as archaeological exhibits transferred to the State Museum.
