An exhibition-competition of jewelry called "Beauty originates from antiquity" dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence was held at the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan. This was reported by "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

65 jewelers from all over the country took part in the competition. Such an exhibition-competition is being held for the first time, the source notes. It is organized by the Ministry of Culture and the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan. The organizers expect that it will initiate an annual exhibition of the best works of Turkmen jewelers.

The competition was held in three nominations:

  1. Women's national jewelry;
  2. Accessories for horses;
  3. Modern jewelry.

Each nomination has five winners: one for the first place and two for the second and third.

Each exhibit was numbered to preserve anonymity and facilitate an impartial assessment by the jury.

In the first nomination, the winner was the teacher of the Academy of Arts Aijemal Charyeva, in the second nomination - Movlamberdy Annayev, in the third - Atamurat Hommadov from Mary velayat.

“At this exhibition I was awarded first place for the composition of five pieces of jewelry “Balsayat”, named after the heroine of the destan “Sayat and Hemra”,” says the winner in the nomination “women's national jewelry” Aijemal Charyeva. - For Sayat, I made a "guppa" - a headdress made with patterns from the outlines of horses and girls, while giving the "guppa" an elongated shape, now almost none of the jewelers makes such. My goal is to preserve the endangered form of jewelry and bring novelty to it. "

After congratulating the winners of the competition, visitors became participants in a creative conference, which was also held at the museum.
