The official opening ceremony of the exhibition-fair on the occasion of the 13th anniversary of the establishment of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan took place today in the capital, at the expo center of the country's Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The exhibition will also host a conference of the UIET.
Among the honored guests were the heads and deputies of the Mejlis, members of the government, representatives of ministries and departments, public organizations, universities, diplomatic corps accredited in Turkmenistan, and domestic media.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the audience heard a welcoming address to the participants of the forum by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The address, in particular, emphasizes:
“Making wide use of the opportunities of the private sector in various industries, supporting entrepreneurial initiatives of citizens, we will stimulate investment activity. Thus, we will further increase the current 70 percent share of the non-state sector in the gross domestic product”.
An important task of Turkmen entrepreneurs is to strengthen the country's position in the foreign market. It is necessary to more actively put into operation new production facilities for the production of import-substituting products, create additional jobs, contribute to the implementation of environmental policy, programs aimed at developing the service sector, e-commerce, the head of state noted.
The leader of the nation expressed confidence that the exhibition and conference of the members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs will give a new impetus to the development of the business sphere.
The exhibition widely presents the goods and services of Turkmen entrepreneurs, which clearly demonstrate the participation of the private sector in the development of the domestic economy.
190 members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, developing their activities in various directions, set up their stands at the exposition.
During the exhibition, there will be presentations of new products and innovative developments that are used in the production of domestic import-substituting and export-oriented products.
The exhibition will run from 17 to 19 March until 18:00.
