At a working meeting on the development of the oil and gas industry held today, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted the low pace of work to improve the efficiency and profitability of the State Concern “Turkmennebit” and expressed dissatisfaction with the measures taken in this direction, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
“The oil industry of the country should become one of the leading and profitable industries, which is one of the priorities of the state policy of Turkmenistan. The successful solution of the tasks in this sector will have a positive impact on the financial and economic indicators of specialized structures, as well as on the strengthening of the national economy,” the head of state said and addressed the relevant instructions to the chairman of the “Turkmennebit” State Concern Gyuchgeldi Baygeldiev.
The President of Turkmenistan gave specific instructions on increasing the volume of crude oil production through the use of modern advanced technologies and methods, increasing the efficiency of drilling operations, timely repair and reconstruction of oil production wells, as well as on the uninterrupted supply of crude oil to the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries.
