A monument to the Turkmen poet and philosopher Mahtumkuli Fragi is being erected in the southern part of Ashgabat on a natural hill located not far from the Health Path reports the website “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.

The height of the bronze sculpture will be 60 meters, the diameter of the pedestal is 25 meters. A park zone will appear around the sculptural composition.

The majestic monument is created by the People's Artist of Turkmenistan, sculptor Saragt Babayev. A team of specialists - enlargers, smelters, welders, crane operators, transport workers - helps him to create a 60-meter monument.

It will take about a thousand tons of bronze to perpetuate the image of the great thinker.
