Masters of the Serdar enterprise of artistic carpet-making of the state Association "Turkmenhaly" continue the tradition of weaving giant carpets, the information program "Watan" of the Turkmen television reported.
On the eve of the carpet company completed work on another carpet in white color scheme. 110 craftswomen participated in the creation of a giant carpet with a width of 27 meters 60 centimeters, a length of 80 meters 80 centimeters, and a total area of 243 square meters. Working in shifts, they finished weaving the carpet in almost 4 months.
Serdar enterprise of artistic carpet making is famous all over the world for its giant carpets. Created here in 1942, a giant carpet called "Turkmeniň kalby" (The soul of Turkmens) with an area of 193 square meters, for more than 60 years it has kept the "palm of superiority".
The magnificent carpets woven at the enterprise impress with their size and beauty. They adorn the halls of the largest palaces across the country. Demand for carpets is also growing in the foreign market.
