President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov dismissed Merdan Govshudov from the post of Deputy Minister of education of Turkmenistan for school and pre-school children's institutions "for serious shortcomings in the work and as not coping with the duty assigned to him". The relevant Resolution was signed by the head of state at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers today, the information program "Watan" of the Turkmen television reported.
The dismissal followed on the fourth day after the announcement of A strict reprimand to M. Govshudov with a final warning about correcting the shortcomings made in the shortest possible time.
Signing the document, the President of Turkmenistan stated that education is the basis of all our achievements, the key to accelerated progress towards our goals. As it was emphasized, one of the priorities of the state policy in this area is the systematic modernization of the relevant system, starting with schools.
At the same time, numerous mistakes are made in this area, the head of state noted. Thus, the development of the digital education system does not meet the requirements. Programs used at all levels of teaching subjects are not updated.
Noting that the work currently being carried out in institutions in this area does not meet the requirements, the Turkmen leader sharply criticized the activities carried out in this direction, instructing Deputy Prime Minister Purli Agamyradov, who oversees the education sector, to analyze the situation in detail and take urgent measures to correct the shortcomings.
In the light of the above, the Deputy Prime Minister and the hyakim velayats stressed the importance of creating appropriate conditions for the successful functioning of all educational institutions, starting with kindergartens and schools, which should be equipped with everything necessary for an effective educational process.
