Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan held talks

On September 2, Minister of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with Minister of foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aydarbekov via videoconference. This was reported by the official website of the Turkmen foreign Ministry.

During the conversation, Meredov and Aydarbekov discussed the agenda of bilateral relations, as well as exchanged views on the preparations for the III Consultative meeting of the Heads of state of the Central Asian region, which will be held in the Kyrgyz Capital-Bishkek.

The foreign policy leaders discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation. in this context, the resumption of regular meetings between representatives of public and private structures of the two countries became a separate topic of discussion.

The Ministers noted that political and diplomatic cooperation between Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan is developing on a consistent basis. Mutual support for the initiatives and initiatives of the two States within the framework of reputable international organizations makes a significant contribution to the development of effective cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.

In view of the global pandemic situation, the diplomats also paid special attention to the development of regional cooperation to further strengthen cohesion, stability and solidarity.
