Today, a WHO mission on a Bombardier Challenger 605 plane arrived at Turkmenabat international airport in the evening from Frankfurt am main on a Charter flight of Turkmenistan airlines.
The work of the delegation, which includes five experts, will last 10 days. The WHO mission includes a series of meetings with high-level officials and public health experts to work together to assess risks and develop the response systems needed to control COVID-19. International public health experts and epidemiologists plan to visit medical facilities, public health centers, laboratories, and other facilities at the national, regional, and city levels, as well as entry points.
No cases of COVID-19 infection have been recorded in Turkmenistan.
