Today, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Esenmyrat Orazgeldiev and Shamuhammet Durdylyev, who are in charge of agro-industrial, as well as construction and industrial complexes, during which priority tasks in these areas were identified.
Opening the working meeting, the President noted that today it is necessary to analyze the implementation of instructions for the development of agriculture in the country and in this context – to discuss important tasks. For the report, the head of state gave the floor to Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers E. Orazgeldiev.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, as part of the socio-economic transformations launched in Turkmenistan, cardinal reforms are being carried out aimed at increasing the efficiency of the agro-industrial complex, increasing the production of various agricultural products, and creating favorable conditions for the work of farmers.
The necessary measures are being taken to provide the population with vegetable and fruit products grown in Turkmenistan. In addition, it was reported about the introduction of a digital system in the industry, as well as about seasonal agricultural work.
After hearing the report and emphasizing the importance of consistent implementation of state programs, primarily aimed at transforming the agricultural sector, the President stressed that the key task of the current stage is to increase the pace of work in this direction. This will help improve the living conditions of the rural population and increase the volume of agricultural products grown.
Our country should be a self-sufficient state in the production of agricultural products, markets should abound with a variety of food products that meet the needs of Turkmen citizens, the President said.
Special importance should be attached to the widespread introduction of scientific achievements into production, which can increase soil fertility, as well as to the timely implementation of agro technical measures.
It is necessary to provide the country's domestic markets with the necessary food products all year round, the head of state once again stressed, addressing the Deputy Prime Minister with relevant instructions.
Then the President gave the floor to the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Sh. Durdylyev, who reported on the implementation of instructions to improve the activities of subordinate structures.
The report noted that work is underway to produce enough mineral fertilizers necessary for the agricultural sector. As reported, program measures are being taken to increase the production capacity of specialized industrial enterprises. Information was also provided on the progress of modernization of production facilities specializing in the production of fertilizers.
Summarizing the report, the head of state noted that it is necessary to practice a comprehensive and responsible approach to the transition to the digital system, the introduction of innovative technologies in all structures.
The President drew the attention of the Vice premiers to the fact that the priority task is to achieve coordinated activities of agro - and industrial production, and in this context outlined the tasks that need to be solved.
Turning to the Deputy Prime Minister Sh. Durdylyev, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave specific instructions on providing agricultural land with mineral fertilizers. Producers of potatoes, onions and melons should be provided with fertilizers in accordance with the standards of agricultural technology in the established time and in the necessary volumes, the head of state stressed, giving instructions to increase the production of mineral fertilizers.
Focusing on the need for coordinated activities of the relevant structures, the President stressed that it is necessary to take a responsible approach to solving the tasks identified during the current meeting and wished the participants success in the upcoming work, the state news Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
