The VI Asian indoor and martial arts games will be held in Thailand in 2021, according to the NOC of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Olympic Council of Asia has signed a contract with the host country for the VI Asian indoor and martial arts games 2021. The signing ceremony took place on April 23 and was held via video link between the sports Authority of Thailand in Bangkok and the headquarters of the Olympic Council of Asia in Kuwait.
This means that the Games are returning to Bangkok, where the first Asian indoor games were held in 2005. The Thai capital also hosted the Asian martial arts games in 2009, before the two events merged in 2013.

VI Asian indoor and martial arts games will be held in two cities — Bangkok and Pattaya in the first half of 2021. The exact dates will be finalized later. The competition program will include 24 sports: indoor athletics, Billiards, bowling, dance, chess, Futsal, roller skating / mountaineering, short-distance swimming (25 meters), Thai Boxing, Jiu-jitsu, BMX bike, Hoop takrau / sepak takrau, Kurash, floorball, netball, Taekwondo, indoor hockey, karate, eSports, badminton (three events), penchak Silat, cheerleading, Sambo, indoor rowing. 

Recall that an important event in the cultural and sports life of Turkmenistan was the V Asian indoor and martial arts games successfully held in September 2017 in Ashgabat. The continental competitions held in the Turkmen capital caused a huge resonance in the world. The games, which have increased the international prestige of our country, gave a new impetus to the development of friendly relations with the world's States, bringing Turkmen sports to the world level, and improving the cooperation established in this sphere. Our athletes triumphed at the Asian games-they won 89 gold, 70 silver, 86 bronze – a total of 245 medals.
