A new issue of the journal "Democracy and law" has been published in Turkmenistan

The next issue of the quarterly scientific and applied journal "Democracy and law" has been published in Turkmenistan. The publication, prepared for publication by the Institute of state, law and democracy, presents readers with publications covering current issues of public life and international cooperation on the global agenda.

The author of the article "Legal support of the social protection sphere of the population" emphasizes the importance of the work consistently carried out in the country to strengthen the legislative base of the large-scale socio-economic reforms being implemented.

It is noted that Turkmenistan has created a system of social protection of the population that takes into account global trends and, at the same time, reflects the specifics of the country, its historical, demographic and social features. A list of laws and legal documents that establish the rights of citizens to social protection is provided.

The article "Partnership for global peace and security" by the special representative of the UN Secretary-General and head of the UN Regional center for preventive diplomacy for Central Asia (RCPDCA) is devoted to the main areas of interaction between Turkmenistan and The United Nations.

The author of the article Natalia German, noting the positivity of the multilateral peacekeeping activities of the Community of Nations, focuses on the work of the RCPDCA aimed at supporting peace processes and efforts to resolve conflicts through preventive diplomacy, which is also given priority in the foreign policy pursued by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. 

Examples include joint cooperation on the implementation of the UN Global counter-terrorism strategy in Central Asia, on the management of transboundary water resources, integration to promote peace and the involvement of women and youth in these processes.

In this context, the author notes the constructive role of foreign policy priorities and diplomacy of neutral Turkmenistan, which, as the author of the publication emphasizes, are in tune with the main values of The United Nations. "The partnership between Turkmenistan and the UN is an important attribute for supporting collective efforts to prevent crises and promote the agenda of peace, development and security," the head of the RCPDCA States. 

The significance of this year's significant date – the 25th anniversary of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan, which symbolically coincides with the 75th anniversary of the United Nations-is particularly emphasized. "We were able to verify the viability of neutrality as a unique international legal institution," says Natalia German.

Among the materials offered to readers is the article "Development of legislation of Turkmenistan on military service". The author emphasizes the importance of the ongoing work on the implementation of military reform.

As noted, the strengthening of the material and technical base of the military and law enforcement agencies of a neutral state is carried out on the basis of the defensive Military doctrine adopted in accordance with the peaceful and humane policy of the Turkmen leader.

The article "Development of legal regulation of business activity" is devoted to the issues of legislative support for private business. The publication notes that the intensive growth of the economy largely depends on the level of excellence of private initiative and the effectiveness of measures to stimulate it. A number of legislative documents are aimed at solving these tasks.

The material emphasizes the importance of enhancing the effectiveness of legal regulation of entrepreneurial activity in the context of relevant Concepts of digitization, and more active implementation of information technologies in enterprises and organizations non-state sector of the economy.
