The validity of visas for citizens of Turkmenistan and other foreigners in Russia will be extended for 90 days, regardless of the purpose of their stay in the country, RIA News reported, citing the Russian Interior Ministry.
In addition, the Ministry of internal Affairs of Russia stressed that citizens who arrived in the Russian Federation in a manner that does not require a visa, the period of stay will be extended even if it has already expired.
This information was also confirmed to "Turkmenportal" at the Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan.
Recall that air traffic between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation was temporarily suspended due to the situation with coronavirus. The Russian government has decided to restrict the access of foreigners to the country due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Entry to citizens of other countries is closed from March 18 to May 1.
In Turkmenistan, according to the Ministry of health and medical industry, no cases of coronavirus have been recorded.
