President of the people's Republic of China XI Jinping thanked President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for his support in the fight against coronavirus. This is stated in a letter addressed to the Turkmen leader, the press service of the head of state reported.
"Currently, the Chinese Government and people are making every effort to combat the epidemic of pneumonia caused by the new type of coronavirus COVID-19. I am grateful for Your sympathy and support for the Chinese side," XI said in his message.
The Chinese leader noted that "In recent years, Chinese-Turkmen relations have been steadily developing, political trust between the two countries is growing, close international cooperation is effectively conducted, and cooperation within the framework of the "one belt – one road" project is successfully progressing.
