High-level Turkmen-Azerbaijani talks have started at the residence of the President of Azerbaijan – “Zagulba”. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov is visiting Baku today on a one-day official visit.
The meeting of the two leaders took place on the square in front of the presidential Palace, where a guard of honor was displayed, and the anthems of the two States were played. The presidents introduced the members of their countries official delegations to each other.
After the official ceremony of photographing against the background of the State flags of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan, bilateral “one-on-one” talks began.
The current state of Turkmen-Azerbaijani relations is characterized by significant activation. Both countries have enormous resource, economic, energy, transport and communication potential. Issues of expanding mutual trade and humanitarian ties are also on the agenda of the talks, the state news Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
