President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov appointed police Lieutenant General Charymyrat Amanov as Secretary of the State Security Council. The corresponding Decree was signed today during a meeting of the State Security Council, the press service of the head of state reported.
At the same meeting, the President of Turkmenistan appointed Charymyrat Amanov as Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, relieving Him of the post of rector of the Institute of the Ministry of internal Affairs.
Recall that until today, the post of Secretary of the State Security Council remained vacant after the President, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov dismissed the Minister of national security Yaylim Berdiev for "improper performance of official duties, shortcomings in the work" on January 22.
