The statement of the chairmanship of Turkmenistan on the results of the first Caspian economic forum, held on August 11-12, 2019 In the national tourist zone "Avaza", was adopted as a document of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly and published in the official languages of the international Organization, the state news Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
According to the information, the KEF-2019 platform attracted representatives of about 60 countries – both neighboring with the Caspian "five" States, and very distant geographically, but having their own economic interests here. Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Novruz Mammadov, First Vice-President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Esxak Jahangiri, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, as well as Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdullah Aripov and Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria Boyko Borisov arrived to participate in the forum headed by representative delegations.
President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov also took part in the solemn meeting as a guest of honor.
The forum brought together delegations from different countries of the world, heads and representatives of authoritative international organizations, including the United Nations and its leading structures, the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the Economic Cooperation Organization, the International Federation of freight forwarding associations, the International road transport Union, etc., as well as the largest financial and banking institutions. The heads of diplomatic missions and missions accredited in our country were also among the participants.
According to the source, the rich program of the Forum included many events: working meetings and negotiations, intergovernmental meetings, Ministerial meetings, business councils, expert consultations, thematic conferences and seminars, and other parallel events. The most striking and large-scale steel Caspian exhibition of innovative technologies and international auto show "Türkmen sährasy-2019".
During the KEF, 57 international documents were signed concerning cooperation in such areas as information technology, investment cooperation, trade, economic and financial spheres, diplomacy, transport, electricity, light industry, agriculture and water management, sports, etc.
The creation of the international center "Innovation city of the Caspian", as a base for technological and innovative breakthrough of the countries of the region, aroused great interest and broad support of the delegates of the I KEF, as well as business communities not only of the Caspian, but also of dozens of other countries.
One of the main results was the decision to hold the Caspian economic forum on a regular basis in the coastal cities of the Caspian States.
