Political consultations at the level of deputy foreign ministers of Turkmenistan and Mongolia were held at the Foreign Ministry building of Turkmenistan. The delegation of guests was led by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, Ms. Batmunkhiyn Battsetseg, who arrived in Ashgabat on a working visit, the official website of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry said.
During the meeting, the parties expressed interest in holding ministerial consultations on a regular basis. It also noted the positive experience of cooperation within international organizations.
The meeting participants stressed that there are good prerequisites for the development of the dialogue, taking into account the three main directions of diplomacy - energy, transport and water. To give a powerful impetus to the development of bilateral relations, it is necessary to organize an exchange of visits at the highest level.
The parties exchanged views on the need to improve the legal framework and the exchange of delegations at the level of inter-parliamentary relations.
At the end of the meeting, the parties noted the need to develop trade and economic relations, the potential of which is not fully disclosed and addressed the issues of export and import development between the two countries, in particular in the field of energy resources and agricultural products.
