The day before, the European high-level conference "Prevention and control of non-infectious diseases", held under the auspices of the world health organization, completed its work in Ashgabat, the newspaper Neutral Turkmenistan has reported.
The forum, which was organized by the Government of Turkmenistan and the WHO regional office for Europe, brought together foreign specialists, experts, heads of medical and scientific institutions from the countries of the WHO European region.
During the conference, Turkmenistan was awarded a World Health Organization Certificate for its outstanding contribution to the prevention of non-infectious diseases. In this regard, the key role of the President of Turkmenistan, academician of ANT, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Honorary Professor of a number of foreign scientific and educational centers Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in bringing the scientific and practical spheres of domestic medicine to a new, innovative level, which in turn had an impact on the development of world health was indicated.
