The Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering announced the winners of the 5th Open International Internet Olympiad in "Strength of Materials," held among students from higher education institutions in Turkmenistan and abroad.

According to "Turkmenistan: Golden Age," students from Turkmen universities won 106 prizes. Among the winners were the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction, the Institute of Engineering, Technical, and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan, the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan, the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University, the Yakub Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, the Turkmen Agricultural Institute, and other universities.

165 winners and runners-up were named from among international students representing universities in China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Romania, Malaysia, Australia, and Uganda.

Students from China were particularly distinguished, winning 101 prizes.

This year, the Olympiad brought together 877 students from 63 higher education institutions in 15 countries, including Australia, Germany, Romania, the USA, Malaysia, China, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Türkiye, Uganda, and Pakistan.

Students from a wide range of fields and years of study competed.

The Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction expressed special gratitude to its colleagues from foreign universities for their active support in organizing the international event.

 The Olympiad has been successfully and productively held by the Turkmen university for the fifth year in a row and is gaining popularity among young people.
