Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov met with the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Ashgabat, Ji Shuming, according to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the talks, the parties discussed a wide range of bilateral cooperation issues between the two countries.

Particular attention was paid to the recent visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, to China, during which he met with President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping.

The diplomats also exchanged views on the practical implementation of the agreements reached during the visit.
