Turkmenistan is preparing for celebrations to mark the 5th anniversary of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care. A proposal to this effect was announced during a working meeting in the city of Arkadag, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

Arkadag city mayor Gulshat Mammedova, addressing the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on behalf of the city administration, proposed a solemn celebration of the anniversary of the Foundation, founded five years ago.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov approved the proposal, emphasizing the need to develop a concrete celebration plan with the active involvement of the country's cultural and artistic figures. The selection of a venue for the celebrations and the preparation of a cultural program should be addressed comprehensively, he stated.

In addition, meeting participants discussed the progress of construction of the second phase of the Arkadag development, including medical cluster facilities and a new park.

Preparations for International Women's Day, including a ceremony honoring mothers with many children and housewarming parties for their families, were discussed separately. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed that all planned events be organized at a high level.
