Japanese automaker Nissan has announced two recalls affecting a combined 642 698 Rogue compact SUVs, CBS News reported, citing the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The first recall will affect 323 917 vehicles due to engine bearing failure, which could lead to hot oil leaks and an increased risk of fire. The second recall affects 318 781 vehicles due to potential throttle body gear failure, posing a risk of accidents.
Owners of recalled vehicles are advised to contact authorized dealers, who will inspect the vehicles and perform repairs if necessary.
The current campaign is a continuation of a similar promotion that was held last June and covered more than 480 thousand Rogue, Infiniti, and Altima vehicles.
