The Turkmenistan U18 national hockey team will play for third place at the 27th IIHF World Junior Ice Hockey Championship, Division III, group B, currently underway in Sarajevo. The Turkmen team will face Bosnia and Herzegovina. The match is scheduled for February 19, starting at 20:00 Ashgabat time.

In the semifinals, Turkmenistan lost to Thailand 0-14. Bosnia and Herzegovina lost their semifinal match to Iceland 2-8.

The final, which will also take place on February 19 at 23:30 Ashgabat time, will feature Thailand and Iceland. The winner of the final will earn a spot in Division III group A.

The U18 World Junior Ice Hockey Championship, Division III group B, is held under the auspices of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) and is the seventh-highest tournament for teams in this age group. The competition features the six lowest-ranked teams in the world.
