Today, Turkmenistan celebrates Diplomatic Workers' Day. On this occasion, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent a congratulatory message.

Below is the text of the message, published by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

"Dear employees of the diplomatic service of Turkmenistan!

I sincerely congratulate you on Turkmenistan Diplomats' Day, widely celebrated annually in our country!

In the year "Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses," new lofty goals have been set to further enhance the international prestige of our state. I am confident that you will make a worthy contribution to the comprehensive development of political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation at the regional and international levels.

Esteemed diplomats!

From the very first steps of its independence, Turkmenistan has embraced the fundamental principles of neutrality, equality, and good neighborliness in its international relations and foreign policy. Over the past years, our country has demonstrated its commitment to its diplomatic course, both national interests and the fundamental goals of the United Nations.

A clear confirmation of this is the three-time recognition of the permanent neutrality of the Fatherland by relevant resolutions of the United Nations General Assembly. The opening of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia in Ashgabat and its effective work with the Government of Turkmenistan also testify to the special significance and peacekeeping power of neutrality.

The adoption by the United Nations General Assembly of a large package of important resolutions in the areas of peacekeeping, security, and sustainable development, based on our country's international initiatives, reflects the effectiveness of Turkmenistan's strategic partnership with this authoritative Organization.

This is confirmed by the United Nations General Assembly's declaration of 2025 as the "International Year of Peace and Trust." The results of the High-Level International Forum dedicated to the International Day of Neutrality further strengthened Turkmenistan's position on the global stage and once again demonstrated our state's peace-loving doctrine.

In the era of the Renaissance of a new era of a powerful state, by strictly and unwaveringly adhering to international obligations and observing international law, we are realizing the geopolitical and geo-economic potential of our country in the name of peaceful life, creative development, and mutually beneficial cooperation.

The important initiative to declare 2028 the "Year of International Law" strengthens not only the legal foundation of world peace but also its spiritual foundations. These humanitarian proposals, by promoting the principles of mutual respect and justice in international relations, usher in a new historic era in maintaining global sustainability.

Along with the successful implementation of the strategic directions of our country's foreign policy, the necessary conditions are currently being created for the implementation of major international projects in such significant areas as energy, transport and communications, ecology, the high-tech "green" economy, and the cultural and humanitarian sphere.

The foreign policy and diplomacy of our permanently neutral state, based on the principles of peace and trust, are aimed at creating special opportunities in the international space for the implementation of long-term national programs.

In this regard, high demands are placed on the country's diplomatic service to implement effective mechanisms for political-diplomatic, international legal, and trade-economic consultations at the interstate and intergovernmental levels.

Today, Turkmenistan, aiming for high levels of development, is confidently moving toward a bright future. Based on the humanistic principles of our ancestors, the foreign policy and diplomacy of our independent, permanently neutral Fatherland are aimed at creating the necessary conditions in the international arena for the implementation of national programs. Guided by the Program "Revival of a New Era of a Powerful State: National Program for the Socioeconomic Development of Turkmenistan in 2022–2052," diplomatic service employees are actively involved in implementing an exemplary foreign policy aimed at improving international relations through ensuring peace and security, as well as strengthening the position of an independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan on the world stage. I am confident that the diplomatic service will fulfill the important tasks assigned to them to comprehensively protect the country's national interests and enhance its high authority in the system of international relations.
