Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov inspected the Olympic Stadium's readiness for the match against “Al-Nasr”

National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty (People's Council), Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, visited the Olympic Village in Ashgabat, where he inspected preparations for the AFC Champions League Round of 16 match between Turkmenistan's “Arkadag” and Saudi Arabia's “Al-Nasr”, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reported.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov inspected the Olympic Stadium, the largest in Central Asia, which seats 45 thousand spectators and will host the match on February 11. He inspected the facility's infrastructure, the playing field, and the spectator stands.

"The optimal resolution of all current issues is a priority. Not a single detail must be overlooked. It is essential to approach the organization of the upcoming match, which is of paramount importance for enhancing the country's sporting prestige, with the utmost responsibility," Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted.

The National Leader emphasized the need to create all the necessary conditions for fans, athletes, and coaches, as well as coordinate the work of all involved agencies. He emphasized the importance of using the latest technology and best practices in organizing the upcoming meeting.

D. Orazov, Chairman of the State Committee for Construction of the City of Arkadag under the President of Turkmenistan, reported that the football field is fully prepared for the tournament in accordance with international standards. He added that during the off-season, the field is covered with a special polyethylene surface to maintain its proper condition.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also gave instructions on organizing media coverage of the match, conducting an advertising campaign, and creating conditions for foreign journalists to work.
