According to the first FIFA ranking update of 2026, the Turkmenistan national team maintained its position, remaining in 137th place, between the Philippines (136th) and the Central African Republic (138th).

Morocco entered the top ten teams in the world, moving up from 11th to 8th place. Senegal, the winner of the African Cup, moved up seven spots to 12th place.

FIFA Top 10:

Spain, Argentina, France, England, Brazil, Portugal, Netherlands, Morocco, Belgium, Germany.

AFC Top 10:

Japan, Iran, South Korea, Australia, Uzbekistan, Qatar, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and the UAE.

The next FIFA ranking update is scheduled for April 1, 2026.

As a reminder, the Turkmenistan national team will play a decisive match against Thailand on March 31 within the framework of the 2027 Asian Cup qualifying tournament. The match will determine the winner of the final tournament.
