During the winter holidays, Ashgabat residents and visitors can attend festive celebrations at the square in front of the “Älem” Cultural and Entertainment Center, as well as at the square near the State Circus of Turkmenistan. Fairytale characters and an amusement area with swings will inspire positive emotions and a good mood.
The State Circus invites the public to its New Year's show featuring Ayaz Baba and Garpamyk.
The “Ashgabat” Cinema will host exciting screenings:
On January 10 at 17:00, there will be a screening of the Russian fairy tale film "Alice in Wonderland," directed by Yuri Khmelnitsky. This modern adaptation of Lewis Carroll's novel of the same name stars Anna Peresild, Miloš Biković, Oleg Savostyuk, and Irina Gorbacheva.
On January 10 at 19:00, there will be a screening of the Russian comedy film "Cheburashka 2." The film was released on January 1, 2026.
The State Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Rasul Klychev, will perform a concert titled "New Year's Light" at the Mukam Palace of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan on January 9 at 19:00.
