Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov presented awards to schoolchildren, students, athletes, and their mentors for outstanding results achieved at international subject Olympiads and world-class competitions. This was reported on the "Watan" program on Turkmen television.
The awards ceremony took place in the Ashgabat Olympic Village. In accordance with documents signed by the head of state, the athletes who won gold medals at world-class competitions, along with their coaches, were awarded 2025 Toyota Camry passenger cars.
Silver medalists received cash prizes of 70 thousand manats, while bronze medalists received 40 thousand manats. Coaches who trained world championship medalists received bonuses of up to 70 thousand manats.
Pupils and students also received cash rewards for their achievements in international subject Olympiads. Prizes ranged from 40 thousand to 100 thousand manat, depending on their placement, and teachers who trained the winners and runners-up received 100 thousand manat prizes.
