The Oguz han University of Engineering and Technology of Turkmenistan hosted a scientific and practical conference, "National Artificial Intelligence Technologies - An Innovative Tool for Turkmenistan's Economic Development," dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the country's permanent neutrality.
As reported by "Turkmenistan: Golden Age," representatives of ministries, departments, scientific institutions, and professors from higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan took part in the conference.
Experts from leading universities and companies around the world joined the participants online. Among them were Professor Seong-Joo Kang of Sejong University (Korea), Professor Rajermanee Thinakaran of INTI International University (Malaysia), Professors Jan Hansen and David Pommerenke of Graz University of Technology (Austria), Professor Ryota Takahashi of Nihon University (Japan), Mendy Hassan, Chief Engineer of Evatherm (Switzerland), and Professor Abdul Aziz Bin Mat Isa, Deputy Deputy Prime Minister of the National University of Tenaga (Malaysia).

Foreign speakers presented their constructive proposals regarding the development of AI technologies in Turkmenistan's economic and social spheres.
Experts believe that broad opportunities for the implementation of intelligent systems are opening up in the country's energy, transport and logistics, and agricultural sectors.
During the conference, a number of proposals were put forward for the implementation of projects for predictive services at gas facilities, smart irrigation systems based on water-saving technologies, the digitalization of seaports, and the creation of information centers. The creation of open information platforms in the "data hub" format was also presented as an important step for the development of scientific research and the innovative skills of young people at universities.
The conference also featured a broad exchange of views on the importance of AI regulatory standards, data protection regulations, integrated information management, and international cooperation.
Speakers noted the importance of the establishment of an artificial intelligence and information technology laboratory at Oguzhan University, where students are successfully applying AI technologies to software development and project work.
